"I am an orthopedic surgeon who has been practicing in North County, San Diego for nearly 20 years. My practice primarily consists of sports medicine, minimally invasive knee and shoulder surgery. I was introduced to Vital Wear products by KJ Butterfield. I have prescribed the Vital Wrap System to many of my postoperative knee and shoulder patients. Compared to other cryotherapy systems on the market, I have received only rare negative feedback regarding the system.

My patient's have found the Vital Wrap System to be intuitive, easy to use and, most importantly, effective for relieving postoperative pain and swelling. All of the patients appreciate being able to use a combination of heat and warmth. The knee and shoulder wraps are much easier to apply and fit better than other products I have encountered. This product is absolutely perfect for after surgery swelling trauma. I used gel packs first but had to keep getting up in the middle of the night to go to the freezer to get the packs. After I started using the VitalWrap I just reached down, wrapped my knee, and turned on the switch. I could do this as often as I liked during the night. An absolutely incredible alternative to the gel packs. I am talking to my surgeon to let him know that this should be available to all patients for after surgery.

I have used many other devices that provide cold therapy and the VitalWrap is the best yet! VitalWrap provides a constant temperature that is not too cold like ice and keeps it cold for as long as you want. In addition to the compression from the wrap it offers another component to the R.I.C.E. therapy acronym (Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation) that ice packs alone cannot offer; you only have to provide the rest and elevation.
